ImageWelcome to the course website for DAI 521 Industrial CAD, taught by Ryan Olson in the Department of Design and Industry at San Francisco State University. Students in the Spring 2007 section of the course should register on this website and check it regularly for course announcements, assignments, and online notes and tutorials. Over the course of the semester I will be posting video tutorials demonstrating specific techniques discussed in class.

The purpose of DAI 521 is to provide students with basic skills for industrial design using CAD software. We will be concentrating primarily on SolidWorks 2006. Topics covered will include solid modeling, surface modeling, assemblies, and rendering, with an emphasis on use of the software in an industrial design workflow. More information about the course can be found in the syllabus (login required).
