In this tutorial of a simple pencil model, we use the Circular Pattern sketch tool to create a six-sided regular polygon, and sharpen the tip of the pencil with a revolved cut. You can also download the part file here. This tutorial incorrectly states that there's no polygon sketch tool, but the alternative provided should be interesting nonetheless.
